Tokyo Ghoul :re Manga Chapter 169 Review
I'd like to start by saying that I couldn't really figure out what was happening in the Fighting scenes. I never really can tell exactly what was happening, but I jut figured out that in this Fighting-Dedicated chapter Uta has bested Yomo pretty badly. I do believe Uta is just plainly more Powerful than Yomo but I don't know if Yomo is at his best right now, as in, I have no idea if he has been eating properly in the past few days or if he ate in the past month or so. Uta is likely well-fed and at his best right now. He seems pretty damn happy be finally fighting against Yomo, for whatever reason, and has even released his Kakuja (which we see for the very first time) at the end of a chapter. I'm really looking forward to see the true power of Uta and see if he has some other special abilities to reveal, other than the Shape-Shifting thing.
Meanwhile Amon is confronting Donato, the showdown everyone's been waiting for, even though everyone is so hyped about Uta as he's a very liked character with probably one of the strongest fan-bases as far as Tokyo Ghoul Character fan-bases go. Amon seems to be a lot more powerful than the last time we saw him fighting off Takizawa and has managed to piece through Donato completely knocking him down (temporarily that is) and at the same time making Owl collapse for a second, if it wasn't obvious by now, Owl is for sure being partially controlled by Donato. Anyways, after being knocked down, it only took him a second to regenerate the wound. I'm interested to see how far his regeneration goes. It sure won't be as good as someone like Noro's but his regeneration sure is magnificent. After that I believe he uses his Kagune to create clones of himself and surround Amon, or at least that's what it looks like to me. That can be a powerful ability to confuse enemies but those clones are probably as weak as a bare human being.
But now we need to talk about Kaneki, who finally met up with Furuta, who was surprised to see Kaneki. He nearly looked shocked. Here's a peek to his face the moment his eyes meets Kaneki's:
I'm not sure if Kaneki is the one talking in this scene or Furuta, but just from his expression you can tell that Kaneki wasn't meant to leave Dragon in Furuta's plans, which leads me to think that Kaneki is now more than capable to wipe out Furuta and have the best on him. Not that this will end anything of what's happening, of course, but wiping out Trash never hurts, does it? I do really like Furuta as a character but I easily see him getting beaten up in the next 2 chapters or so.
And that is all for this Chapter, thanks a lot for reading and let me know what you think of it.
